Stafford in the right spot and with competent coaching has enough ability to be a nice QB. A top-10 type.
If he lands in Indy (which seems to be the preferred landing spot), I think he makes them a much bigger contender next year.
I haven't ever been a huge fan of Stafford's, but the guy is talented and has never had real support.
Indy would be the best OL and running back group he has had. The Colts need an upgrade at WR, but they have a bunch of cap space and could accomplish an upgrade through FA (Maybe brining Kenny Golladay or Allen Robinson to town?)(. [Reply]

If he lands in Denver you'll change your mind very quickly. [Reply]
Don't do that to yourself, Stafford. You don't want to be in a division with Mahomes. Go somewhere where you have a chance at a division title. [Reply]

Just a few examples of how stats don't really give you the whole picture. Unless anyone believes that both Aaron Rodgers and Deshaun Watson are really better QBs than Mahomes. Or that Kirk Cousins is really the 2nd best QB in the league.:-) Or that Ryan Tannehill is really the 4th best QB in the league. Which we already know damned well isn't true.
All facts aside, I think it's possible that Matt is now damaged goods. Too many different OCs, HCs, bad defenses, terrible losses, losing seasons, etc., may have wrecked any chance he might have at actually becoming the QB he flashed earlier in his career.
If he ends up on a team that actually has a decent offense/defense, and solid coaching, like IND/SFO, maybe we'll find out if he's really a top 10 QB. [Reply]

Denver isn't a stable organization.
They don't actually have an owner right now because of the dispute.
Their operations head just promoted himself to avoid public embarrassment and hired a figurehead GM and then retained a HC that has shown he knows very little about building an offensive team. [Reply]
