Dumb question but can this shit be passed in water? Like this summer if pools open?

Sunlight destroys virus quickly, new govt. tests find, but experts say pandemic could last through summer

I'm not sure, but the virus has been found in wastewater.

Wastewater is obviously much different than pool water though.

Basically I have no idea.

INSERT MADE IN CHINA JOKE

“Our findings suggest that there is somewhere between 50- and 80-fold more infections in our county than what’s known by the number of cases than are reported by our department of public health," Dr. Eran Bendavid, the Stanford professor who led the study, told ABC News.
If the study's numbers are accurate, the true mortality and hospitalization rates of COVID-19 are both substantially lower than current estimates, and due to lag between infection and death, researchers project a true mortality rate between .12 and .20.

Chlorine will kill the virus.

The water would make it so dilute that the odds of transmission would be extremely low. The chlorine wouldn't likely be high enough to invoke a strong viricidal effect (it's hundreds of times lower than what you'd get even from diluted bleach) but given the proximity of people in a lot of swimming pools, you'd be well within the range of respiratory droplets from an infected party.

I would say probably not if the water balance is within guidelines.

If someone pisses in the pool, does that have any impact?
