Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

Yes, I know we are all sick of that and have waited forever for a guy that does NOT do that but sometimes its there and is the right call.
Depends on score and time left in the game. He was poor at times managing a 2 td lead. Happened in the first Faider meeting. Way to many deep shots that were not necessary in the second half. Nothing wrong with just moving the chains when have a decent lead. Longer drives would have helped. [Reply]

I remember us scoring on the drive where he missed the deep shots
We blew the lead because we failed at running and throwing short passes. Didn’t recover until Reid told Mahomes to win the game on the last drive [Reply]

Name one fucking poster who was on the Cassel train in 2009 who was pounding the table for Mahomes. Name fucking one.
And if you say yourself, that's a lie.
"Just draft someone" DOES include Mahomes, you pea brain. And it never was about "Just draft someone! Anyone!" That's like saying people who didn't want Sanchez were Carl Peterson clones afraid of drafting any and and ALL QBs. Even then, that true fan stereotype is far more true than the other one. I remember in the Andrew Luck year, THAT'S when we got a bunch of the cautious losers to finally say, "Now THERE'S a QB prospect I like!!!!!!!"
I was on the cassel train.
And the mahomes train. I would've given one of my nuts up if they had came to me and said that's what it was going to take for them to draft him. [Reply]
I was watching Virginia vs Louisville and around the 2:00 in the 1st half the announcers mentioned Patrick Mahomes, about how his arm angles changed his game.
I think they were comparing him to a Virginia player but damn, I love having our QB mentioned in random basketball games. Never would have happened with any other Chiefs QB. Imagine Alex Smith being mentioned in a basketball game. [Reply]

And let’s say that Andy Reid couldn’t coach anymore, for whatever reason…. say medical reasons. So, you’re the GM of the Chiefs and you have to go looking for a new HC. In your search you find one, a real good one, one whom you think can be a winning coach. But there is one problem, you know that this person and Patrick Mahomes will NOT get along. They are oil and water, they will not mix, it will not be a good working relationship under any conditions. Their playing styles are completely different, their personalities clash. It just won’t work. So here’s the question:
Option #1 - Do you hire the new person and trade away Patrick Mahomes?
Option #2 - Or do you keep Patrick Mahomes and pass on this person and look for someone who will work well with Mahomes?
Before you start flaming away at me for asking such a stupid question, remember that the Arizona Cardinals are at this very crossroads and are choosing Option #1. Either the Cardinals are VERY stupid or they know Josh Rosen is NOT worth keeping. If he was worth keeping, they would have chosen Option #2. They didn’t.
Hiring Kingsbury says loud and clear that Josh Rosen isn’t worth keeping, he’s not worth investing in, he’s not worth building a team around. If he was, Kingsbury wouldn’t have been their choice, they would have found someone who could work with Rosen.
Why do Giant fans want to spend a high draft choice on a reject of the Arizona Cardinals?
Pretty dumb in multiple ways. I bet the Cardinals end up keeping Rosen. I believe they are just trying to convince the Raiders to trade into the #1 spot for Murray. Kliff’s most recent QB at Tech was a lot more like Rosen than Mahomes, so it is not like Kliff requires a mobile QB for the system.
Obviously the Chiefs would choose Mahomes over any coach, but I think Mahomes is a high character kid who would get along just fine with whoever the team puts in the HC spot. [Reply]
