A lot of sexual tension between these two. I predict they end up together in the next one.

I’d acrually prefer that over being related

As someone who is not huge Star Wars fan/know it all I think this film was just okay. Not as good as the critic reviews or as bad as some of the hate shown by some Hardcore fans.

Some of the alleged Plot holes are probably lost on me but as a film that goes from A-B it is solid and decent fun, how it sits in the pantheon of the franchise I probably couldn't tell you.

That's the thing: some people didn't give a fat frog's ass about the prequels and wanted to see what happened with the original characters we grew up with.

When you make a movie (two actually) that purposefully shits all over them just so you can promote strong female characters people will get pissed.

The film makes a point of stating how bad it is to act impulsively (Poe) and then our main character (Ray) does exactly that and it's not addressed.

All the male characters are flawed and none of the female characters have any flaws. Even Chewbacca is made to feel guilt for eating meat. The wookie he threatened to rip Lando's arms off is suddenly made to feel guilty for eating a chicken-penguin...

Given the quote what is the link to my quick 2 line review?

Not sure why people get bent out of shape about sexual politics in particular men. Try watching Bad Moms Christmas then realise that men in that film are treated how women have been treated in 95% of films throughout the years.

I can't believe friggin Star Wars is being used to complain about the feminist/liberal wrecking of society.

Here's the big takeaway about modern society - if something exists, people will bitch about it on the internet.

Hasn't that happened/ is happening? Han went back to smuggling after trouble with leia over their son. The son eventually kills him. Luke became a hermit after a failed attempt at restarting the jedi order and eventually dies a hero's death back in the service of the resistance. And Leia is still where she always was, leading the charge.

That's what happened/is happening with the original characters we grew up with and it's been brilliant. What's the problem?

Another thing I absolutely hated about this film was that little volleyball droid (BB-8 ?) being a badass killing machine. Are you fucking kidding me?! This little shit was able to take out some big guards with ease and did a lot of other stuff that was laughable.

Also , that new character Rose (the asian chick) was terrible. Just a drawn up try hard SJW that Rian Johnson apparently needed to add to the Star Wars universe .

God this film sucked so much. I wanted to vomit in my popcorn at that cheesy ass ending too.

I thought the BB-8 moments we fun if not a little shlocky.

I dont think this was SJW I think it was probably more a cynical attempt to sell to major overseas markets.

I had a really difficult time accepting that Luke considered killing Kylo when he was a teenager. That just didn't sit right in the slightest. Similar to Anakin slaughtering kids. Complete head-scratcher moments that seem to go strongly against Jedi ideals. There were lots of ways they could have explained Luke's failed attempt at training a new generation of Jedi. This was the least expected, and it felt gross.

But he did just consider it. And after he saw what he would become.

If he had killed him, it would certainly have gone against Jedi ideals but he didn't kill him.

The Jedi weren't infallible and as Luke pointed out, their hubris (and his) was their downfall.
