To my untrained eye, Carlton simply tries to do to much and do it too fast.

After Graham threw the ball behind his back to Bragg, it looked like Bragg was thinking he should try it. I yelled at the TV, "don't do it mother****er!" I'm sure if authorities were watching I would be committed to mental institution, but he was pumping the ball like he was going to do it.
I thought he would do one better, throw it away without throwing it behind his back.

For what little he's played, he's definitely been a presence in the middle. He made quite a few plays even in the few minutes he played.

Coleby tore his ACL before last season. Not an easy thing to recover fully from.

I had hoped he could be a similar player as Arthur was here. Maybe he can still but damn.
I must be missing these good plays.

On Carlton - I watched last year's footage on him. He is definitely thicker, it's just incredible to me how little it's seemed to matter. Hopefully a light will switch like it did for Lucas last year, but so far he's been absolutely asstastic.

I had no idea his court awareness/basketball IQ was as terrible as it is. I don't remember it being quite like this last year, so maybe it's partly a confidence thing.

With everything that's happened and that he's been accused of off the court, it's possible his head is somewhere else right now.

Dude is a perimeter player who likes to flash the 15 footer and run the court. He's being asked to play the post. Maybe you can't make him that guy

He doesn't have quick enough feet to be out there. He better learn how to play the 4 and 5 or do 18 hours of plyometrics a day until November.

Is there anyone in the NCAA that misses more shots within 2ft than Lucas?

I dont think there's anything on TV (regardless of channel or genre) that pisses me off more than having to watch that repeatedly over and over and over again throughout the course of the game lol.

I mean how hard could it be, when you're 6 foot fucking 10. Self needs to make his ass run each time he misses one. Same w/ FT's....Jackson too (on FT's)

Shit the whole entire team needs to shoot better from the line. It's getting ridiculous and it's going to cost them in March. When I played in HS I was 90% from the line, rarely missed. It's nothing but muscle repetition. Very frustrating to watch KU clank and brick shot after shot from the line. Hell they shoot 20 more FT's a game than their opponents...much like Duke does (I say this because a lot of opposing fans complain about the constant Phoggy reffing), they would put every team away almost w/ ease.

I agree CoMo. But I've said it before. Lucas' problem is his feet. He loses his base in the post constantly or he's out of position - too far under the basket usually.

It's maddening because he is a really smart and sound player, but he can't figure that part out.

Yes, that drives me nuts. If I were 6'10" I would dunk it every chance I got.

nothing like como coming on here and saying 'it's just muscle memory' and that he was Mark Price from the line in high school

it is, I was an 85% free throw shooter in highschool and these guys are 5 times the athlete I am. It's absolutely ridiculous that a college ball player can't shoot above 70% especially someone who isn't a big center with massive hands.
