About to hit the 5000 post mark on the old thread, the first season 7 trailer today seems like the right time to start the final Game of Thones thread.
I'm going back to the original rules pre-2015. I don't think we need supervision or bannings. Just don't be a dick. Post anything you find online that hasn't aired yet inside of spoiler tags. That's pretty much it. I think we can all handle that...

In the show, no gods make no sense.
I get the theory that the lord of light doesn't want you to know whats on the other side. So when you are brought back he only gives you the "black" to remember.
However, being dead for days and then being brought back to life without any ill effects has to be some kind of "magic". The work of a higher being that can reverse necrosis or they were put in some form of stasis by the God. Anything else just doesn't make sense in the show. [Reply]

Remember, they are not human, and this world isn't Earth.
That gives the producers and author infinite room to work. [Reply]
I wouldn't rule out the possibility that Jon lied about there being nothing but black. He never wants to see people have to fight and die and telling them it's just black could at least prevent people from becoming even more eager to kill each other. That said I could never see the TV show doing anything like that. [Reply]

Maybe he saw yegrette and was warm and happy. And that's why he didn't talk about what he saw and doesn't want to be brought back if he falls again [Reply]
