I never claimed to be smart, but I'm intelligent enough to give the man that who has (oh I don't know... built the team that's won 3 Superbowls in the past 5 years) the benefit of the doubt.
I'd consider that common sense. Call me crazy! [Reply]

I still think the Chiefs want Donovan Smith, so I don't think they're going to offer anything to Zay, but they'll do the same thing they did to DeAndre Hopkins (reportedly) and offer him a smaller deal on paper but offer him analysis that suggests he'll more than make up for it in endorsements.
There will be a conversation, but I bet it goes nowhere, the team will use its money to pay Donovan Smith, and sign Mecole Hardman for pennies right before training camp.
That was a weird game all around man. The injuries on the OL were terrible but so were the number of key drops (two in the end zone.)
And getting rat-fucked by officials.
I don't think we were going to win that game - there was blood in the water pretty early and that DL was playing with their hair on fire.
But man, I'd have liked to have gotten more of a fair shake to see how that 3rd quarter plays out in a 1 score game. Maybe they're not pressing and some of those drops don't happen. Maybe they keep that game close into the 4th and then Mahomes stuff happens.
After the FG to start the 3rd quarter when the offense started to show a little life, the game was 21-9. 14-9 is a pretty different ballgame, no? And I think I recall us getting hosed out of a score of our own in the first half as well.
Just would've been interesting to see what happens if they're pressured a little more. [Reply]
