because he was ruled to be in the concussion protocol based on how he acted on the field. The only way out of protocol is by clearing protocol is my understanding. If he didn't have a head injury, he will clear protocol [Reply]

Yeah I guess even if the doc says later you know what, it's a nerve and not a head injury, since he was initially placed in the protocol he still has to progress through the five stages. But I would think they might be able to go public with the docs finding of not concussed. But I can also see the docs wanting to error on the side of caution and just play it through as though it were a concussion to play it safe and not have any suggestion of trying to avoid the rule.
