I would love to see the Spits. I've never seen them. It's kind of slow right now in Atlanta. I am going to see Social Distortion in November and might go see Guttermouth next month...
I'm a big Jesus & Mary Chain fan. A lot of people wouldn't consider them punk and they probably shouldn't be (although that's kind of how they started out), but I recently realized that they've reunited and are doing a short American tour this year and it led me to the Chicago Riot Fest which is filled with some pretty great bands:
Day 1:
The Offspring
Neon Trees
Pegboy
Dead Sara
Day 2:
Rise Against
Descendents
Coheed and Cambria
Dropkick Murphys
Slapstick
The Gaslight Anthem
Andrew W.K.
Hot Water Music
Minus the Bear
August Burns Red
GWAR
Frank Turner
The Adicts
Nobunny
A Wilhelm Scream
Teenage Bottlerocket
Off With Their Heads
Deals Gone Bad
Larry And His Flask
The Story So Far
Fireworks
Environmental Encroachment
Day 3:
Iggy And The St00ges
Elvis Costello & The Imposters
A Day to Remember
Gogol Bordello
NOFX
Alkaline Trio
The Jesus and Mary Chain
AWOLNATION
The Promise Ring
Less Than Jake
Chiodos (original lineup reunion)
Built To Spill
Imagine Dragons
Reverend Horton Heat
Fishbone
Screaming Females
White Mystery
The Henry Clay People
Sister Crayon
Japanther
The Infected
Environmental Encroachment
I'm not really into big festival type concerts so I'm not going to go, but I'd love to see the Decendents, Dropkick Murphys, Gogol Bordello, and several of the other bands playing there (including The Jesus & Mary Chain, of course). [Reply]
I'd love to go to that. There are a ton of really good bans there. It's strange Screaching Weasel isn't playing... I like what I have heard of Jesus and Mary Chain. I like that song the Pixies covered. The Pixies are probably my favorite band nowadays. I like all kinds of stuff though... [Reply]

I already got my ticket for the Dallas riot fest. Worth it just to see the Descendents. Saw the last Screeching Weasel show before Ben Weasel punched that chick in the audience on stage last year at SXSW. [Reply]

Crazy! I didn't hear about that. I wanted to see Screaching Weasel and the Queers a few months ago but I didn't go. [Reply]
Roughest show I ever went to was Chaos UK. It was at the Somber Reptile in Atlanta in 1993. There was no security. There were about 200 people there and there was no pit. When they started playing, everyone just started fighting. Literally fighting... They played like 5 songs and then the cops shut it down. [Reply]
