Have been banned from the other thread by an apparently sensitive snowflake (ironically after dozens of pages of political discussion from others) so I'll stick my thoughts on the NBA Playoffs here from now on. We needed a new thread anyway. [Reply]
Also don't mind the NBA using common sense and not rewarding possession to a team that purposely knocked the ball out of bounds when it's called like that for the 46 minutes prior. Don't really care that they called it differently in an earlier game, rather they get it right later than double down on that stupidity. [Reply]

How about a penalty for fouling a certain amount of times within a minute? Force the winning team to take a shot???? The shot clock is part of the problem….
How about under 2 minutes of al quarters, the shot clock once crossing the LINE is down to 10 seconds?!?!

I won't disagree with you that the fouling also kills the flow of the game and fun factor. I don't know how you fix that though because fouling like that is part of the strategy of the game. [Reply]
In a situation like the Clippers were in where they needed to miss a free throw and get a rebound, I've always felt like they should try to pull a fast one. As soon as the ref passes the shooter the ball, he should really quick bang it off the rim. And make sure his teammates know this ahead of time. I know players have pulled this off before many times, but it never hurts to try to catch them sleeping. [Reply]

The first time PG was at the line, they played it off as well as you possibly could. And the Suns fouled. [Reply]
That's how I've felt for years and why I don't watch much of the NBA.... plus, a lot of people say it's not really worth watching until the 4th quarter (I don't totally agree, but I do tend to see a lot of games where there's basically one run for a team to get up 10+ and a 2nd run to get it close again), yet you get down the last few minutes and it takes 4 days.
A couple of the Suns games have been really fun due to the lack of replays and fouls at the end, to the extent I was like, damn maybe the NBA kind of fixed that when I wasn't watching? But, no.... clearly not. [Reply]
