Can't get it up here north of the border but, through a wine distributer I am able to order a case. Would like to hear from someone who knows their stuff and has tried it before I order.

Technically, it's against the law. But it's done daily. I'm pretty sure KCUnited has shipped beer to other members, and I'm blanking on who sent me a few bottles a few years ago.
The only way they'll find out is if you packed it poorly, or the bottle starts leaking. And even then, from what I've read you get a written warning if anything. [Reply]
I've sent a bunch of beers to select CP folk over the years and have never lost a box or had one intercepted. I used to get nervous about it but I don't even think about it anymore. [Reply]

I once sent a box of beers to a CPer, most of you have him on ignore, via USPS a couple years ago. I followed the tracking all the way to "On Delivery Vehicle" then it just disappeared. After about a week I contacted them and filed a missing package claim. About a week after that I got a call from the fucking Postmaster in this CPers town telling me one of the bottles had broken in transit and he was holding it in his office with beer all over the place. :-) it was like a 15% barleywine. I apologize profusely and played dumb like I didn't know it was illegal. He was ultimately really cool about it and agreed to let the CPer pick up the remaining bottles that didn't break from his office.
I feel it's location specific. My USPS goes through O'hare where zero fucks are given for anything, so things get beat up. So mostly I'll send cans USPS, and bottles UPS. YMMV though. I did sent some cans to phish once via USPS 2 day flat rate that circled Philadelphia for a week before getting to KC :-) [Reply]
