We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

Sorry, but "My sense from talking with league sources last week is #Chiefs will make him a priority" is still pretty freaking vague.

He's basically saying he's speculating based on information from teams other than the Chiefs.

I shouldn't say it's vague. It's very indirect. He basically speculating on a source of 2nd hand information. It's better than just raw speculation.

But it's not as definitive as stating you have a first-hand source, aka the Chiefs themselves.

I've seen plenty of people saying it's a good fit. I've yet to see anybody say that the Chiefs are actually pursuing him based on 1st-hand information.

The difference is that - when Veach was targeting a trade for Thomas - that was the ONLY way to get safety help.

Now, we have trades, free agency, the draft, and our own players returning from injury. It's a much more diverse group of potential solutions.
