So Bubba has been hitting better and better. 1.146 OPS this month and SLG of .677. Just too bad for him that Billy Hamilton is beasting right now and just knocking the shit out of the ball, .281 SLG and OPSing .588.
Sucks that Bubba is being blocked by trash. He will be 27 in August, so don't give me the bullshit excuse that he doesn't have any options. He needs to come up and play every day for the rest of the year. Sending him back to AAA shouldn't even be an option. If he plays decent in the majors then he's your starting CF for next year. If he sucks a bit at first, but improves during the rest of the year, then he starts in CF next year. If he's terrible and just keeps being terrible then cut his ass.
I dont get Daytons obsession with shitty veterans and letting them play, but gives young guys the shortest leash he can. Just like when he sent Zimmer down after 3 appearances and he only gave up runs in 1 of those. He had a million other pitchers to send down or cut, but he sends down the young guy.
