About to hit the 5000 post mark on the old thread, the first season 7 trailer today seems like the right time to start the final Game of Thones thread.
I'm going back to the original rules pre-2015. I don't think we need supervision or bannings. Just don't be a dick. Post anything you find online that hasn't aired yet inside of spoiler tags. That's pretty much it. I think we can all handle that...
Melisandre tells Varys that she has done her part by bringing Fire and Ice together—the same name of the novel series. Fire has to be Dany and Ice has to be Jon. Perhaps they rule together?
You can read some of the last chapters by George Martin, which he's been dallying about finishing online, if you can find them. The TV series may just move ahead of him. [Reply]

Additionally, the Targaryen dynasty ruled for 300 years until the Mad King who's evil acts were responsible for Robert's Rebellion. Many of those old houses throughout Westeros were already there when the Targaryen's ruled. Some for longer periods of time preceding the Targaryens. Perhaps they were descendents of the First Men?
The Northern houses (Starks, Glovers, etc.) are descended from the First Men, and are very proud of it. The Dornish are descended from the Rhoynar, and pretty much everyone else in Westeros are descended from the Andals. Most of Westerosi culture comes from the Andals, including the Faith of the Seven. All of these ethnic groups existed in Westeros before the Targaryens invaded. [Reply]
