Nzoner's Game Room>50 Beers to Try Before You Die
NewChief 06:18 AM 04-24-2010
Thought the beer snobs here might like this article (and probably critique the hell out of it).

(CBS) You've heard of "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"?

How about 50 to try before you die?!
Spoiler!

hittin the anchor steam tonite -- if you find yourself in SF and want to kill some time, go to the brewery and hit the bar after the tour

I've got 2 left in my basement with a Saison-Brett '13 that I'm just waiting for the right opportunity to pop.

Anchor single-handedly saved American brewing. Thank you, Fritz Maytag.

Already drank all my Saison-Brett but NDP is holding back a keg for tomorrow in which I will partake. Also picked up this today to which I am looking forward: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/bouleva...ognita/176318/

I managed to get a bottle of Terra Incognita from last year, when it was exclusive to the SAVOR event in D.C. It's not a blow-your-socks-off beer; its subtle. But I really enjoyed it.

Doing a 3 year Saison Brett vertical tomorrow...should be interesting to see how the 2011 has aged.

I've picked up bottles on consecutive days. Plenty on hand at my shop. Probably pop one tonight and pick more up if I like it.

Man forgot about this thread. Got 3 bottles of Love Child in Texas. It was awesome. Got 3 bottles of Saison Brett. Letting one age as long as possible.

Founders has made a huge push into Texas and I've seen everything except the breakfast stout down here.

Real Ale Fest in new Longview was awesome today. Perennial's beers took the title for me at least. Aria Belgian ale with peaches was out of this world.

Topeka liquor stores are getting more stuff in these days, and the great thing is not many people spend the extra $$$ on the good stuff.

There are still cases of Saison-Brett and Love Child sitting around collecting dust, and just a few months ago I could still find Saison-Brett 2012.

I was supposed to come operate a tap handle but couldn't. I'll pass your compliments on to Patrick.

Having a tent was a nice touch. We were prepared to bake in the sun and having shade was a nice surprise. Lots of good folks and good vibes!

I am going to go to town when I visit my brother in a few weeks, then.

I am repeat myself, perhaps my question was not heard. Most of the apps I see are bar locaters, food pair-ers, etc. Can anyone recommend a Smartphone app that would do the following??:

Example: I am curious about what is in this delicious beer in my hand, and I open my app and type in Sierra Nevada, and Pale Ale.

The app would return this information:
Malts: Two row Pale, Caramel
Yeast: Ale yeast
Bittering Hops: Magnum, Perle
Aroma Hops: Cascade
ABV: 5.6
IPU: 38

I like to put a name on a particular flavor I am noticing.
