In order to prevent us wasting precious years of Patrick Mahomes' career, Veach needs to work some magic this offseason. What's your advice for him? [Reply]
Yeah, I'm not a big fan on spending big resources on a CB. It's so hard to play that position with the rules these days, I'd just keep doing what your doing there. [Reply]

We’re one injury away from having an issue at DB.
I tend to think Breeland re-signs with the Chiefs.
He's been with them for 2 seasons and has played really well. The Chiefs stuck with him during his ridiculous 2020 offseason and he'll be 29.9 years old to start the season, so I doubt there will be a huge contract waiting for him in free agency. [Reply]

I woudln't be opposed to the Chiefs giving him a 2 year deal or so this time. [Reply]

A first round pick is the opposite of "big resources". The pick itself has value but a big part of that value is having a high-dollar position like CB locked up on a rookie salary for the next 5 years. [Reply]

We don't need lbs but every team could use at least 1 3 down eraser. We don't have that.
We also need pass rush.
We NEED whatever the draft board has available. If that's DE, CB, LB, OT, WR, or whatever, we shouldn't let the draft board be completely dictated by happenstance.
Just because you'e been successful at acquiring cheap help at CB means you abandon the other options for acquiring them.
I mean, we got Wharton as a UDFA so maybe we shouldn't spend high draft picks on DL either, right? [Reply]

We have Hitchens and Gay....and that’s it. We absolutely need another LB.
We don't need LB's as much as we need other positions, I think that was his point. Since he went on to say we need a 3-down LB in the very next sentence. :-) [Reply]
