Not so. When I look at that play, I see a player not in control of himself and his emotions, not somebody who is maliciously attempting to hurt anybody. But that's Ron Artest for you.

There are no accidents on a basketball court, save for two guys colliding because they were looking up at a rebound or something. It's not hockey. You know where you are and what you're doing pretty much all the time. If a normal person accidentally ripped an elbow into someone's head and knocked him out on a basketball court, he would immediately stop running, feel horrified, hope the injured guy got up, then crouch over him to make sure he was OK. This would happen every time — repeat: every time — unless either (a) the guy totally meant to throw that elbow, and (b) the guy was a full-fledged fucking lunatic.
Ready for some live playoff basketball tomorrow. That shit is like crack. This will be my first game since Miami because of my newborn. Luckily you can mark up tickets about 5 to 10 times their value right now and I paid for my tickets for next year :-)
Dallas still makes me nervous because of Dirk, Jet and Kidd but we should win this series. I don't think it's gonna be easy though. We have more talent but the Carlisle/Brooks matchup could fuck us. Again, if this team loses before the WC finals it should be Brooks last season. Prove me wrong Scotty!
Yeah, if you ever need to be reminded about how insufferable Boston fans are and why you should cheer against Boston teams, just read one of Simmons' ridiculous columns. I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it when the Lakers knocked his Celtics out in game 7 two years ago.
In any case, I don't remember anybody calling what happened an accident (at least not here). Ron reacted to getting bumped by throwing an elbow, that was pretty clear. He's not the first player to elbow somebody in the NBA, though, nor will he be the last.

OKC's home advantage should get them through this series. I would be surprised if it was easy, though. Nothing is easy in the playoffs.
