Apparently not. Fox is in talks with Chris Carter to bring it back, including having David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise Scully and Mulder. Nothing creative yet, just seeing how schedules line up, but still...
Also having (unrelated of course) talks about bringing back Prison Break and running a Kiefer-free version of 24 (not sure how that would work; he was that snow). [Reply]

The series had some serious problems. Lack of direction being the biggest. The Jose Chung episode and "Somehow, Satan Got Behind Me" are both comedy episodes penned by Darin Morgan that you should enjoy if you are a a fan of his work. [Reply]

I'm getting this vibe as well. I like that it takes me back to the original. But the production looks 90's as well. Not a gripe really, just an observation.
I would say the new episodes are just average. It's nice to see the characters again, but the stories haven't been exceptional. Now I know that the writers/creators probably haven't been focusing on the series since it was cancelled, but you would think that with more than a decade having passed that they could have come up with something more innovative than a cookie cutter conspiracy theory episode, and a rehashed golem plot [Reply]
I would prefer more of a normal x files feel but I think they have done a good job overall. This episode was another good example. This is the closest Duchovney has come to true Mulder, save for the tripping scene. He wasn't trying to be super clever every line.
I thought the episode had good pace and a strong message about humanity, which is very x fileish. [Reply]
