For the new Cardinal fans that joined the Planet since last year, here are some of the historical threads going back to 2006.
It's okay guys - Woodford magically got good over the winter.
Wonder how long it'll take to get Libby called up. If he's actually pitching with purpose now, he's a legit #3 starter. His AAA stuff was just miles better than his MLB stuff because he was guiding when he got called up. He looked terrified and it was just obvious in how little life his stuff had.
Get up here and rip the goddamn ball, kid. That breaker will play and the fastball works nicely when you actually fire it.
He's a big leaguer when he's actually throwing the ball. [Reply]

He can't possibly be worse than Woodford or even Matz. Let him learn while he's here because those guys aren't helping. [Reply]

Mongomery has been the only consistently decent starter we've had.
I said when you guys signed Contreras that I wondered how your pitching would turn out.
When the whole discussion on should the Cubs re-sign him or not was happening, someone tweeted out the pitching ERA of Contreras vs Gomes. IIRC, everyone but Stroman was a full run better pitching to Gomes. Stroman was about even between the 2. [Reply]
