Duda's another low average, big power guy, so probably a slightly better version of Moss.

He has put up similar OPS numbers to Moose though. He's a legit 30 HR guy. Hard to believe a few years ago 30 HR was among the league leaders. Today hitting 30 HR gets you a $3 million deal.

Just speculating here, but if Duda can produce a solid 1st half, I could see him being a trade chip for KC to a possible playoff team that needs a LH with power. It's one way to replenish the farm system come trade deadline. Probably won't net KC any top 100 player type in return, but possibly A or maybe a AA player.

That's actually a solid idea that I haven't thought about.

Duda and Hos have virtually the same WAR over the last 4 years, while Duda has less ABs

That throw was so bad even a grenade wouldn't have got Hosmer.

Yea well that is from sites that say Hosmer is like the worst defender ever so lets remember that when discussing that rating.

Or Phil Collins:

We cannot live together
We cannot live apart
That's the situation
I've known it from the start
Every time that I look at you
I can see the future
Cos you know I know baby
I don't wanna go.

Throwing it all away
Throwing it all away
Is there nothing that I can say
To make you change your mind
I watch the world go round and round
And see mine turning upside down
You're throwing it all away.

Can Weird Al do a parody song “Duda Throws Like a Lady”?

And those sites also rate Duda as a better defender. Which is laughable.

Tl;dnr: baseballs used after second half of 2015 have combination of factors that would add about 10 ft per fly ball
