At #40, the Royals select SS Brady McConnell, University of Florida. Teammates with Jackson Kowar and Brady Singer last year. Hit .332/.385/.576 with 15 HR in 59 games. this year.
They ended up taking Brady McConnell, a SS from UF. Former teammate of Singer and Kowar. Was a first round potential guy enterin his Sr year of Hs but slid.
Probably a CF or 2B as a pro. Not enough power projection for 3B. Interesting pick with tools. College bat with a good approach. [Reply]

Nope.
Right around his protection from Mlb.com
But as the rounds progress keep in mind that sometimes you take a pick in rnds 2-10 that you can sign for underslot and splash on someone else later. [Reply]
It’s time to release Martin Gasparini. He’s 22 and still st A ball, where he’s 6-49 (.122) with one extra base hit. .303 OPS (lol) and a ghastly 1bb/26k ratio.

Goodbye.
The Royals have and some serious problems with guys that were supposed to be prospects just never developing and ending up really old for their levels...talk about aging out.
They'll probably keep him though, they've kept Starling and he's honestly getting old. [Reply]
