We all have varying opinions about the impact of this, the numbers, etc. We will all never agree with each other. But we can all keep it civil.

Thanks!

The radiologists are the worst.

I am not in any way bashing what nurses and medical professionals are doing as my family and friend circle is made up of nurses, PA, a few Dr's, and other medical proffesionals like we own a hospital which we obviously don't.

Its fine to respect what they do but its as ****ing dumb as comparing Iraq and Afghanistan to Vietnam. There is no real comparison its just receny bias.

Dude, I had to go to one of our hospitals on Sunday and when they took my temp it was like 3 people from a movie. All decked out in PPE. Scary part was I was running 99.8 but had been drinking coffee so....I didn't stick around long as rightly so others were nervous about me being there.

But I chatted a bit with the 3 when I was leaving and yeah, those are just the people taking your temp when you come in.

We are working on solutions to put robots in rooms so nurses don't have to make multiple visits in a room. These people do this everyday with multiple infected patients and I have to tell you I don't hear shit for complaining. We have nurses insisting on taking iPads into patient rooms and help them get connected to they can see their families.

I know that sounds a bit trivial but when you think about it, you have nurses wanting to go into an infected patient's room just to help them get an iPad going so they can see they can visit with their family. They could easily say that's not worth risking it and wouldn't be unjustified in doing so.

They and she remind me of the guys in landing craft heading for Normandy.

Doctors remind me of lawyers when their stuff doesn't work right. They throw a temper tantrum and act like it's the end of the world. Nurses on the other hand will work around shit until it gets fixed. When a nurse calls and is yelling at us it is usually a real fucking problem, not just an inconvenience.

I wonder how many people are dying at home now in New York. We know it was just under 200 a few days back, so Id be willing to bet it's gotten quite a bit higher now.

The more interesting question is why are they dying at home?

Its been reported for several days now that the at home deaths are being counted now.

Just like its been reported that almost everyone with a positive Covid test who dies for any reason is counted as a Covid death.
