The original Bushwood thread is overflowing like Craig Stadler's FUPA.

I thought we could also use the OP to create a WITB for ChiefsPlanet members. I'll list a poster's name and put their sticks in a spoiler tag, so you can see what everyone is carrying. [Reply]
Phil is imploding dont enter tourney if you done agree with courses setup. He is treating it like a mini golf course now. Poor sportsmanship work on the putting. [Reply]
I love Phil, and he is easily my favorite golfer ever, but this just can't happen. I'm sure that's 25 years of disappointment building up (much of it self-inflicted), but it still shouldn't happen. That said, I probably would have done it years before if I was Phil. [Reply]
If I was going to critique one thing about the setup, it would be the width of the fairways vs the speed of the greens. The fairways are 50% wider than they were last time, but the greens aren't designed to roll at these speeds (plus, they're poa so they burn out easy). I'd prefer it if they pinched the fairways in to require greater accuracy with the driver, and slow down the greens (keeping them around 10 and firm). I also wish the US Open would stay on parkland courses, like Winged Foot, rather than the wide open setups of Erin Hills and Chambers Bay. I also think that shaving the banks brings in more luck than the pros want to admit. There really isn't a difference in the quality of a shot that ends up back at your feet and one that releases towards the hole when the difference in distance is a few inches. It's kind of like what Tiger said about his first hole: he hit a great flop shot and it ended up back at his feet. Bringing back the heavy rough helps minimize that kind of horseshit. [Reply]
Im a little tired of Fox stirring the course controversy. Its the US Open its supposed to be hard. The course is the same for everyone maybe the early starters had it a bit easier. The players just dont like being humbled. You have to pick your spots on a layout like this. These guys are used to going aggressive at pins not at the US Open. [Reply]
I imagine everyone will be talking about it tonight. Depends on what some of these front runners say in their press conferences.
I am genuinely surprised at the large number of comments I see on Twitter with golf fans calling today's setup a joke. I don't think it is, but I figured this was the kind of US Open people wanted to see. Maybe it isn't.
I do think 14 might be a bit much. You can't really get the ball anywhere near the hole. [Reply]
