This isn’t a draft where they need to save money for their second pick, not when there is such clear premium talent sure to be available at their pick, and not when their next pick falls so late.
I’d be floored if they passed on Witt for him. [Reply]
Is this a draft where the Royals try to stock up on bats because of the current struggles in the lower minors with basically all of the high thought of prospects? [Reply]

I could see him at 3rd. Might depend on how confident they are in extending Mondesi.
They’ll let Witt stick at SS until he needs to move. They’ve also talked about moving Mondesi to CF.

I'm sure Witt can stick at SS just wondering what happens if he's ready in 3 years.
If he’s ready in 3 years, I think he plays 3B or 2B unless they’ve extended Mondesi.
If they extend Mondesi, I believe they’ll work on moving one of them to CF. [Reply]

No.
The only way the Royals don’t take Witt is if the Orioles do.
Unless something has changed in the past 24 hours. Everyone in the industry was confident about that until the small chatter earlier after Bleday. [Reply]
