Thanks!

Yeah, I know, the actual data measured in every way says we aren't even close to being a hot spot but I don't get it....right

If we say the death number is X we have a crowd that scream we aren't counting all the people who "really" died from it.

We have dead people getting counted even though they may not have died from Covid-19

We have people being counted as having Covid-19 even though that haven't been tested because they show symptoms

We have test results being argued because someone said somewhere there are X number of false positives or false negatives

So basically it doesn't even matter what numbers you present anymore, some people are going to argue they aren't right for some reason or other
For good reason, as all those things are likely true. The doesn't mean you can't follow trends in the data, and improve as you go along.

That doesn't make the numbers meaningless. We will never know the exact numbers, and that's OK

We have to be the next hot spot because someone on here swears you just don't get it if you think we aren't.

Then what do you measure to quantify “where” we are in this pandemic?

I will tell you this and lay $'s to donuts I am 100% correct:

More people have this than we know

Less people as a percentage are dying from this than we think because more people have it than we know

How's that?

Anymore who the fuck knows? The second you say new cases are showing a flattening someone will scream it's because we aren't testing enough. Or that we have false negatives.

See where I am going with this?

My gut says when the hospitals are back to more of a normal operating level you will know where you are.

I disagree with your assessment though..KC didnt place strict measures in all that fast.
The major metro areas in Missouri actually did enact Stay at Home orders quite early.

The rest of the state, not so much.

Exactly. Covid may not actually be the cause of death but they will say it is if you have it regardless. We had a doctor or two in Italy say very similar as well.
