Beautiful opening message! I can't believe they opened with a prayer. Love it.

Go USA!

Argentina should beat Canada. I hope they do.

If you were better in the final third you wouldn’t be able to say you were the first team in over 20 years to advance out of your group with only 1 goal (that came while playing up a man) That’s just who Canada is. It’s what comes when your only world class player is a fullback. He can only carry you so much.

That second yellow was because of the area the foul took place it was clear push in the back taking away a scoring opportunity, that elbow should have been red for sure but Canada was controlling the play even when they were even , the should just play davies on the wing he is a def liability anyways. Let him cook.

Do you have any better camera angles of this clear push to the back, because it’s obviously not very clear from the replay they show. I’d say the elbow to the face was much more clear wouldn’t you?

Oh you don’t need to tell me, I actually watched the game unlike the Berhalter backer here. Canada outplayed them with both 11 and 10 men on the field, were clearly the superior squad under any circumstance, and it was quite obvious they shut it down some offensively after Argentina scored in the other game. Marsch admitted to it after the game.

Still waiting to hear how getting results against Peru and Chile to advance is an embarrassment compared to getting grouped out by Panama at home.

Sorry, I didn’t realize you wanted me to speed up time to Monday to see if your prediction somehow holds up dumbass. If group play was over right now the US would be advancing right? So what are you talking about? If we somehow fail to score a goal on Monday and put in an embarrassing effort like Canada did last night you better believe I’ll be embarrassed as shit about how far we’ve fallen off since giving Berhalter another chance for some unknown reason. Wouldn’t be as embarrassing as scoring 1 goal in group play when we played up a man for essentially a whole match, though.

Just commenting on the hilarious irony of someone bitching about "embarrassing" win/draw results against Peru and Chile to advance while simultaneously defending losing to Panama at home. So you think the US is beating Uruguay next, do you?

I’m not surprised that you haven’t figured out the whole red card element and how it has a huge impact on the outcomes of these matches since you’re relatively new to the sport likely. I absolutely think we will beat Uruguay on Monday. I think this team has enough talent to play with anyone if they can keep all 11 on the pitch. Just like I don’t think Canada is good enough to beat anyone in their group 11 v 11

Yeah, I’m not surprised that the guy who thought Canada’s current manager was coaching a year ago (when he started last month) or the guy who thought Canada had no chance against Peru or Chile (only to get results against both and advance) is still believing in a Berhalter-led US squad against a far superior opponent.

It’s gonna be funny watching you go down with the Berhalter ship on Monday in any case. Tonight it will be Mexico first.

Far superior team? The US is the highest ranked team in the group dumbass. Not surprising you didn’t know that since you tried to claim you were far superior to all the South American teams when you’re the lowest ranked team in your group. All Canada has shown us is how any team can get lucky in this game if they park the bus and let the other teams implode. Do you think you’ll score a goal this tournament in an 11 v 11 situation?

No one outside of the couple hundred Canadian fans know anything about your coaching timeline. When you’re not even a top 40 team in the world your news doesn’t really travel around outside your region

Uruguay is 6 in ELO, the USA is 30 (only 2 spots above Canada now, FYI). Not surprised that you're still going by dated/flawed FIFA rankings though or that you somehow think these teams are close in any way judging by the nonsense you've spewed in this thread so far.

They were evidently superior to at least two South American teams in their group because they advanced to the QFs and Peru/Chile didn't (in addition to being far better in ELO than both).

Do top 40 teams in the world lose at home to Panama in major tournaments? Is that the standard for that?

Jesus Christ dudes.

Just enjoy the game you miserable fucks. It’s supposed to be fun.

US has a decent chance if they play up to their potential but that doesn’t happen enough. Will be interesting to watch hope they figure it out.

He asked for this when he shit all over Canada immediately after one of their best wins in program history earlier this week and claimed they would get blown out by Chile only to watch his team lose to ****ing Panama days later.

Sometimes you get what you deserve.

If this had anything to do with him being wrong (rather than just purposely shitting on Canada soccer for no reason at all after a great win and now after advancing to the knockout), I wouldn't be continuing with this.

As it is, he's earned this.

That’s my fault. I was just using the ranking system that gets used to determine draws for international tournaments like the World Cup. What tournaments use the ELO rankings now? Your argument is essentially like some college football fan trying to use bleacher report power rankings vs the CFP rankings.

Comparing ELO to Bleacher Report power rankings now is certainly evidence of something but probably not what you think it is.
