For the new Cardinal fans that joined the Planet since last year, here are some of the historical threads going back to 2006.
Cards starting pitching just blows. And they are kind of stuck with them as well. Too good of a lineup to just waste, even though the lineup isn't really producing either. [Reply]

About $60 million dumped into this rotation and they're below replacement level.
Now it's Coors and that's worth pointing out. But shit man, this ain't a new thing. This staff has been trash all season.
And now they're just doing stupid stuff. Blowing a simple double steal and letting a run score before you get the tag made. Missing your window to challenge with 2 outs in the 7th when you're not even ALLOWED to challenge in the 8th or beyond anyway. So exactly WTF are you even looking at, Ollie? Saving your challenge for what exactly? Trying to carry it over into the next game?
It's just a bad team with a bad manager and a lousy front office. I'm really not sure what else there is to say at this point. They have some nice players; some real pieces to build around. But Mozeliak is simply bad at his job. [Reply]
