You would really have no idea someone lived in a city of 2.5 million people listening to them complain about parking garages and traffic and one way streets... but it's a major topic of conversation if you're ever at an event downtown or even on the Plaza with people who don't often go there.
You would really think they all just drove in from BFE Kansas or someone had grabbed an uncontacted tribesmen from the Amazon and dropped them off at Times Square... but nope, live in OP and just cannot fathom getting around downtown and finding a place to park. [Reply]

KC is a bizarre place, it's like people would be happy if downtown wasn't there and it was just nothing but suburbs. [Reply]

I get a kick out of people saying downtown is a shithole and that nobody wants to go down there yet downtown rent is much, much higher than anywhere else. [Reply]

Yeah, I live and work downtown. In my opinion, downtown is so nice and has so many amazing restaurants and lounges. Yeah, there’s a few crazies around the bus stops, but I never feel unsafe. I absolutely love living down here and can’t wait for the new stadium. [Reply]

If I can’t back in my pickup that I’m spending 60% of my monthly household budget on and light up a grill then this just ain’t going to work for me [Reply]

You've just described the high point of about 60% of royals games unfortunately
I've been informed this downtown stadium will naturally usher in an era of prosperity so we'll all be so busy watching winning baseball that won't matter. [Reply]

KC is under 500,000 the other 1.5 million live in the suburbs and drive cars like a red-blooded Americans. [Reply]
A little over a month til the vote & theres still no rendering from the Chiefs. MODOT still hasn't approved the cap for that side of the highway either.
It would be pretty stupid to vote for this as it's rushed and not clearly planned out. [Reply]

I just don’t like giving losers anything nice. Wish we could move the royals to the tbones stadium until they have 3 consecutive seasons over .500
I would never live in Jackson county though so my opinion doesn’t matter [Reply]

If the Sports Complex area was prime for development it would have already happened. [Reply]
