Nzoner's Game Room>Let's talk about the Chargers
Hammock Parties 01:25 AM 09-23-2024
#Chargers Justin Herbert - High ankle re-aggravation. Walking w/full weight = no fracture. Lean towards playing Wk 4. MRI Mon

#Chargers Joey Bosa - Lean towards missing Wk 4. Re-aggravation often worse than initial injury

#Chargers Rashawn Slater - Pec for OL = heavily involved in blocking. High risk of missing Wk 4

#Chargers Joe Alt - Ankle. O-line often able to play the next wk but severity varies. Prob MRI pending

#NFL Injury Updates:#Lions Sam LaPorta - Video suggests low ankle. X-ray + returning = no fracture. Lean towards playing Wk 4. Practice = key#Chargers Justin Herbert - High ankle re-aggravation. Walking w/full weight = no fracture. Lean towards playing Wk 4. MRI Mon

How many TE's do we need?

TE Jody Fortson is returning to the Chiefs on the practice squad, per source. He arrived back in Kansas City last night and is in the locker room this morning.

RB Keaontay Ingram has also re-signed with the Chiefs practice squad.

The way we use the practice squad these days bringing players up to the game day roster I think this is at least worth giving at least a little shit to. Will Fortson ever see the field? Probably not but maybe!

Guy can’t stay healthy enough for any of this to matter in the long run, but I do wonder what Andy and Veach are cooking up..

Maybe but....that was at Arrowhead and they had a different HC. Not saying you're wrong but 17 wins in the NFL are few and far between.

This is exactly what the PS is for. Guys that know the offense and can step in in an emergency and young developmental players. Fortson is obviously the former.

My point was that it's not like we added another TE to the 53 man roster, so who cares that it's "another TE".

Guess Danna didn’t practice today.

Would be the perfect week to get Felix about 50 reps. Get Thomas some too.

Prety sure LV has this one wrong. In spite of the Chiefs' offensive troubles, LAC's defense is probably not as good as advertised either. Yes, they have some great defensive stats, making them look like a top-5 unit or whatever, but they've also played LVR, CAR and PIT. In other words, they have yet to play a legitimate starting QB/offense. That'll make any defense look good or even great.

And this week they're badly banged up on both sides of the ball. Even with KC's offensive issues this should not be a very close game. If KC plays clean football and Travis gets on track, at least a three-TD margin of victory. If KC plays the way they played ATL, a two score margin, 9 or 10 points.

The only way it's close is if KC plays sloppy or just have a run of bad luck.

I think it would be a different game entirely if LAC was healthy, and much closer to LV's prediction. But they're not.

The Chargers still play zone defense out the ass.

Mahomes and Kelce will put up huge numbers.

Rashee Rice can capitalize on the Chargers' zone coverage

Chiefs will win by 2 scores, though they'll struggle to put them away and the game will seem closer than it really is.
