I wouldn't want to rush him out if he suffered a concussion and run the risk of getting another one or long term CTE.
But if it is a Brachial Stun there's no risk of that happening. I'm betting he'll pass the protocol because there's nothing lingering and they'll take all week to do so because of optics and he'll be tip top other than his toe (which is its own set of worries)

But to your point, there should be a safety helping the CB who covers Diggs on every. single. play. Some combination of CB + Mathieu probably.
If they put Ward on Diggs instead of Sneed, he's gonna have 150 yards and a couple of TD's. [Reply]

Then there are severe ones that forced Deion Sanders to retire early.
Does it matter? He obviously pulled or strained some ligaments attached to the big toe. I don’t think even in the worst case scenerio that a QB is forced to retire no matter the diagnosis. And in the best case scenario, he will be dealing with it through the SB. [Reply]

Right. Lost in the now moot debate on playing or sitting the starters, is that the backups get valuable playing time in a setting that cannot be recreated anywhere else. [Reply]
