Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
It's when the offense isn't ahead or behind by a bunch.

The #Chiefs offensive line (+ Mahomes) has the lowest adjusted sack rate in the NFL. Mahomes has been sacked on just 3.8% of his dropbacks (via Football Outsiders).

And not exactly an insignificant amount of cap space invested in the OL to boot.
I know the sack numbers are nice but I still put most of that on Mahomes. I've not been generally impressed by the amount of time he's had to throw, especially considering the fact that teams really can't gamble too often getting after him when there are that many guys in the pattern that can hurt them.
The Pats were getting pressure with 3 on fair occasions last week. That's not great, Bob. [Reply]

Their "Bring the house" blitz was something to behold, though. [Reply]

And excelling with every step. Shit, that's his bread and butter. I'd get Mahomes a defense before going all-in on replacement fatties. [Reply]
Fellow nerds: Patrick Mahomes leads the NFL with an 85.0 QBR. The distance between him and second-place Drew Brees is greater than the distance between Brees and fifth-place Ryan Fitzpatrick. Tom Brady is sixth. #math
