We all have varying opinions about the impact of this, the numbers, etc. We will all never agree with each other. But we can all keep it civil.

Thanks!

Exactly. That was the point I was making.

I don't think somebody who was positive that died in a car accident is going to be put down as a COVID related death but if his weak heart failed because the strain the disease was causing ,yes it might but shouldn't it?

We do this all of the time in normal situations with cancer patients, etc. The high risk individual social distances and those who come in direct contact with the high risk person take the proper precautions (i.e. wearing masks/gloves).

As someone that works in the medical field and has patients fill out health forms, there’s a massive amount of people in this country that have those conditions

Do you have any idea how widespread HTN, DM, and asthma are?

People can dance around it all they want, but if you want to get out ahead of it you have to test. And that works both ways. There is a huge chance there are a lot of people who had this and don't know it and could go back out into society. If you want to get things back to normal it'd be a lot easier if people knew they had it. Otherwise you're going to create a situation where people are staying at home and the economy is still in the tank because they're afraid of catching a disease they already had, and don't know it. That's not going to improve the situation.
:-) I had to stop reading after that. You think we can just have 100's of millions of tests lying around, the resources to get people to testing facilities, the resources to perform the tests and the resources to process the tests in a time that would be even borderline acceptable?

Not as wide spread as locking down the entire population.

I would say that New York cares more about helping middle america than middle america cares about helping New York. But more everyday we are conditioned to fight amongst each other, just because we have different philosophical and political beliefs.

This.

Most likely if they got this and then died in the hospital or at home it ’s probably a contributing factor...
