Yeah, a person shouldn't think that if it comes down a little in price that this is better then what it was and accept it. These high prices aren't right and need to be addressed.

$4.60 today, down $0.40 from a month ago. Crude still in the mid-90 range.

Tell me what you would do to address this. And what price is acceptable to you? I’ve lived through worse times.

I don’t really expect it back below 3$.

Build refineries and pipelines from the north. Take our consumption out of the global market the best way we can. Use what this continent has available. It isn't rocket science.

Building a refinery from design to completion in this day and age is what? Ten years? I can’t imagine the cost? Procurement of needed materials would be a really difficult task at the moment.

Where does one build an oil refinery these days? Probably get a lot of “Not in my back yard” answers. As long as it’s in an area of low population like the Dakotas I could see it being a possibility.

As I was reading about this I read that in 2017 the crown jewel refinery in the US, in Port Arthur, Texas was sold to the saudis.

Anyway…

Gas lines? I've been alive since 79 and this is the worst I can remember.

If this is the worst you’ve experienced, then you’re a beta. But we knew that. (I’m kidding)

Demand side economies are a pain in the ass. Yes, I have sat in lines after the OPEC oil embargo of 73/74 where you hoped to get your $5 rationed. If the station in your area had any to sell. And we all lived through it. It sucked, but my mom and dad (deceased then) had been through much tougher times growing up than what I experienced.

The cycles we go through are really mind boggling.

Can't wait to roll back around to banks handing out money like candy so I can take out a loan that's 50% of my monthly income!
