All a myth pushed by self-loathing Americans. [Reply]

I was happy when he fell for sure. Obviously I don't wish for him to have some kind of serious injury, but I'm just fine with him not playing in this series any longer. It increases the chances of a title significantly. Similarly, while I would have loved to have beaten the Patriots straight up, I also would have been happy if Brady twisted his knee on a sack during the AFC championship game I went to last winter too. Injuries/durability/health are a part of the sport and maybe the most important part. I also truly believe that immediate reaction would have been the same in any other building in any sport in similar circumstances. That's just called being a fan and being that invested in winning.
I will say that that the whole thing has been overblown a bit, though. The arena quieted quickly when the severity of the injury became obvious and he even got chants on the way out. Pretty good distraction for the Raptors who now don't have the entire media talking about how they choked away the best opportunity they may get for a championship. [Reply]

Are you really giving the Raptors the advantage if this goes 7? I don't think so.
Isn't game 7 in Toronto? They've got a great shot to win Game 6. They've already beaten Warriors twice in GS.
Unless they choke Raptors should be alright. [Reply]

Probably. Unless they choke being the key words there. I have faith in Kawhi in that regard (he's going to have to play a lot better for them in one of these games), but the rest (looking at Lowry) are quite a bit more iffy. [Reply]
Embiid still rattled about blowing the 76ers series, I see. He was blaming it on his illness the other day and not the fact that Marc Gasol completely owned him. [Reply]
It definitely isn't classy or a good move but I don't think it is a huge deal. They were clapping for him when he left the court why isn't Mahomes and other athletes talking about that?
Those fans at the game are the reason these guys make millions of dollars. We all know when alcohol and emotions are involved people do and say stupid things. So if they want to boo, cheer or talk trash let them. They are just trying to have a good time.
Cheering when a player gets hurt especially a guy like Durant who basically no one likes a part of sports unfortunately. [Reply]

in other words, Pat should just get over it (according to you). [Reply]

They started clapping because players on the raptors were telling them to :-) sand be classy.
And who dislikes Durant enough to boo an injury? How sad is that person? [Reply]
