Nzoner's Game Room>***Official 2023-2024 NBA Thread***
dirk digler 04:43 PM 10-24-2023
Can't believe the NBA Season is starting tonight. Way to early but here we go.

Lakers vs Nuggets: 6:30PM

Suns vs Warriors: 9PM

Both on TNT

The Nuggets are capable of getting a lead in the first. Who knew?

Denver actually playing this game like their season depends on it (which it does) instead of whatever the last two efforts were.

They may want to stop booing Jamal, doesn’t look like it’s helping

They prudently cut out the booing but it didn’t help too much. Denver is scoring at will. We’ve got ourselves a series here

I know gobert is dpoy. But naz reid seems to be locking down jokic without being a dud on offense. At this point you need all the role offense you can get. He had lots of real good attacks but just couldn't get them to fall

Denver really tough to beat when Murray is on his best game and either porter or Gordon are hitting their shots

Welp - so much for that. Jokic back to doing incredible jokic things in the second half

Nobody “locks down” Jokic but they have looked better this series without Gobert on the floor

They actually did a good job on him. But murray just went berzerk.

Liked Denver last year but find it hard to root for them after Murray acted like a spoiled brat last game. He dominated today but probably shouldn't even have been allowed to play

Lord these announcers suck.

No wonder I am disinterested.

Glad I watched Blue Bloods.

Jokic has been getting whatever he wanted pretty much all game. He was just facilitating more in the first half and drawing attention away for others. Helps when his teammates actually make shots unlike the first two games when Murray practically shot them out of them.

I suspect your disinterest might have more to do with the fact that the game was completely over early in the 3rd quarter and less to do with Mark Jones and Tim Legler (who are generally quite good at what they do). Gus Johnson also doesn’t call the NBA at all anymore, I don’t think.
