So we can finally put THAT insanity to bed.
Just watching that girl for SC pick her pocket showed how ill-prepared she'd be for any sort of high level mens basketball. She'd get wrecked in college. She just was not ready for that kind of speed and physicality. And it was nothing resembling what she'd face in Division 1 men's ball, let along the NBA.
It would just be a blood bath. She wouldn't be able to create her own shot and frankly she'd get beaten to her spot on any attempts to work off the ball to get an open look. And god almighty, can you imagine her trying to play defense at that level?
But we have folks saying she'd be an asset as a 3 and D wing for spacing and scoring punch. Just...wow.
Yeah, that's not happening with any female player...but they should get their chance to try! :-) [Reply]

Where I've seen it is in the usual corners on Twitter and what not. So to whatever extent you see that as 'in the media' - I guess so.
Gotcha. 80% of Twitter is people who can't walk and chew gum, so that makes me feel somewhat better. [Reply]

Then she'd be absolutely physically outclassed and even being 6' tall she would be one of the shortest players in the league. Nothing about her making an NBA team would make sense.
I just didn't realize how stiff and upright she is.
Like most I've seen the highlights of her. She has a quick release (most of the time) and does seem to know how to get to her spots. She's fearless and that helps.
But she is no sort of athlete out there and in the rare instances I've seen clips of people playing defense on her, they're just toying with her.
Anybody remember watching Shawn Bradley back in the 90s? Guy was just big and gangly and laughably terrible because he had no athleticism at all. She's an outside shooting version of Shawn Bradley.
I mean it can't be quite as simple as I've let on - nobody scores 4,000 points or whatever she's scored by being a complete duffer. She's dealt with good defenses in the past. But it looks like anytime you have someone that's quick, they expose her a little bit. And when you combine that with a team that has the physicality and speed to get to her spots before her and just body her off them, she doesn't really have a Plan B that I can see. [Reply]

However I don't even get the need for the constant fucking discussion regarding transgender people. It's such a small sample of people that consider themselves transgender and has become a Boogeyman for a certain group of people that have to constantly bring it up. Just like a different group of people that feel the need to defend that extremely small group.
Just everyone shut the fuck up about it, because that certain group is all anyone talks about and is all politicians want to talk about. Holy shit it's exhausting.
Because many on your side of the aisle refuse to take the L on this issue, hence why the South Carolina coach was scared to answer that question correctly.
Again, even if you think it's not a big deal because it's just sports, it's absolutely a big deal that people like this coach are scared to give a common sense answer to a stupid question.
When something that is obviously right is THIS controversial, you have issues that go well beyond sports. It's a sign of cultural decay. [Reply]

Even if you give good advice about the best ways to silently deal with turds in punchbowls, that does not make it okay for the plopping of the turd in the punchbowl.
Thread had 1600 posts - you had 9 of 'em.
I'm gonna say you weren't terribly vested in the direction of the thread here. And again, you make it your mission in life to wail that threads should be sent to DC, moreso than any Mod I've ever seen. [Reply]

Good catch. That dude's entire purpose here is to white knight for shitty people and defend terrible ideas under the guise of caring about the sanctity of threads and forum rules. [Reply]

A vast majority of people on the left agree that transgender women shouldn't be on women's sports teams. It's just a small minority that think the opposite. Shit if you don't believe me go to Reddit (very left leaning) and read some of the discussion. Most just don't think it's that big of a deal and wonder why it has to constantly be brought up. No transgender woman has tried to get on an NCAA women's bball team or if it has happened it's so incredibly rare that no one gives a shit.
The swimming thing is the only thing I can remember, but I'm drawing blanks on anything else. [Reply]

Yeah put any NBA player on her and she's shut down. Hell any NCAA men's player would shut her down.
Men are just so much faster, stronger, and more athletic that I don't know why people think we should even have this conversation. She'd get totally wrecked in the NBA. I'd be surprised if she were able to score more than a couple of points at most and most of the time she'd be shut out. [Reply]

Nobody gives a shit, yet people like this woman and a Supreme Court justice were scared to say the sky is blue on the record...

Research this Scarlet Johnson tweeter that was quoted and the reporter that asked the dumbass question of Dawn Staley as much as you researched my participation in the thread and then share that information and explain how Floridaman had no idea he was posting politic shit in a thread he started in the main forum.
You just have some assholes that think the rules that apply to everyone do not apply to the assholes who make everything political. [Reply]

Biological men are slaying it in track & field, lacrosse, and wrestling in the college ranks... flat out stealing opportunities and scholarships from actual women [Reply]

Not your rules to enforce.
Go join a Neighborhood Watch or something, Karen. [Reply]
