Thanks to my vape, I've had only one single cigarette in the past 3 weeks. I have zero cravings for them and I feel considerably better. In fact, I still have about 5 smokes left in a pack and just can't see myself smoking those... don't want to.
Even better... 5ml of juice, which costs $5, lasts me about 2 weeks meaning that I am spending less in the long run. I only smoked, at most, a pack a week... but still.
I tried the Blu E-Cigs but they were terrible. Trying to "smoke" out of one of those was like trying to take a hit off a joint that was rolled WAY to tight.
I'm using an eGo-V v2 mega battery with variable voltage control with a gravity tank.

I am drunk as hell, so correct me if I am wrong, but it sounds to be in our favor. If so, color me stunned; if not, color me hammered :-) I'll wait offline to hear you response. [Reply]

The guy in charge of the FDA is taking a more pro vaping stance and appears to be trying to get rid of anti vaping bullshit. Super Secret Info: He' a doctor that used to have a financial interest in a vape shop called Kure. [Reply]

I wasn't being a bit maniacal after the "leave my vapes alone" comment; though, I will say, I had to read the article several times before I truly began to process what I was reading.
It's a win for humanity in my book. This angle the government had taken towards a less risky alternative was giving me a less than ideal opinion towards "those meant to protect us." They would've had egg on their face had they saddled to the big tobacco companies [Reply]

The video is a bit easier to digest than the article but it's about a half hour long. Worth a listen if you get a half hour to kill. [Reply]

I watched a bit of it, but yeah, it is long and something that can't be skimmed through. I certainly noticed the emphasis put on "combustible" and "cigarettes."

I am glad that they are on our side, for now. But what always happens when giant corporations like philip morris start losing money? They pay politicians to provide them more market share. Outlaw other companies producing certain "chemicals" and start requiring "licenses" for certain aspects of making said product. there is a very long running history of government being the reason companies monopolize. You are forbidden from growing tobacco in your yard. Why would that be? Most states dont allow homeowners to build wind turbines. :-) Some states don't allow you to collect rainwater for fucks sake. Every time the government gets involved in anything it gets sloppy, more expensive, and less effective. [Reply]

Oh, I understand. I went into the articles expecting bad news too. I had to read it several times to make sure I was reading it right. I just thought it was funny how cynical I caught myself being. [Reply]

If anything, PM and others will make more money if the FDA starts requiring them to lower the nic amount in cigs. Smokers will have to smoke more to get the same fix they got before the decrease. Lung cancer and copd will be on the rise also.

Just a little update, I now have four distinct devices that fit four specific niches:
Vaporesso Aurora- stealth vape that is shaped like a Zippo lighter, fits in my pocket, using high PG / high nic% juice for a harder hitting and less noticeable vape, ceramic atomizer gives great flavor, lasts about as long as half a pack of cigs, if it broke I'd buy another because it is incredibly convenient
Kanger Tech EVOD Pro (version 1) - carry around vape for when I am out and about, very durable, 1.0 Ohm atomizer performs well through the life of the battery, takes an 18650, it's an AIO so once you set it up it's just one button and go, I bought a little zippered bag that holds it and everything I need for 2-3 days of vaping if I get stuck somewhere
Joyetech Elitar Pipe - versatile daily driver, great little single battery mod, does VW/Bypass/TC in all the modes + TCR, great form factor, upgradable firmware via USB, can mimic cigs/cigars/pipes
Sigelei 200W+TC - solid dual battery box mod, house vape, more than enough power for anything I want, more than enough capacity to last for days as a cig mimic
My Aspire Quad Flex Survival kit and my second NaughtyX extension kit came in. So now with the two (pipe and box) mods I can do several things. I have a 4 ml NaughtyX for each of them if I want to roll with cig mimics for a while. I have the option of turning either tank into a RTA/RTDA/squonker. I have tried the RTA and RTDA on my box mod and I like the RDTA (dripping annoys me), although I have only used the coils/cotton that came with it so far and I like the single rather than dual coil set up. I am eyeballing a dual battery regulated squonk mod (KT DP 160) and I may pull the trigger at about $35 since I do like the RDTA. [Reply]

I have built a nice small collection so far.
Right now i have
2 smok vape pen 22s. Very portable, low battery shelf life though. Great taste and can cloud it up if i want to.
1 eleaf istick pico 75w with a eleaf melo mini 3 with .3ohm coils. Nothing but good out of this little thing.
1 old integrated battery eleaf istick 50w that i use with my joyetech cubis tank. The cubis is a shitty tank, shit taste, no clouds so i think the next (and hopefully only) purchase i need to make anytime soon is another high capacity tank. [Reply]

There are a lot of people using the eleaf stuff over at the E-Cig forum I joined. Lots of great info over there. I'd suggest that anyone who wants to find out more or discuss vaping give it a try. As a warning it is very strictly moderated compared to this place though. No bad language, no calling each other names, no drama, no fighting. Lots of sub forums and your shit will be moved if you post it in the wrong spot. [Reply]
So...I finally bought a squonker. Just came in today. I got the Kanger Tech Dripbox 160 for $35. As of right now I have my NaughtyX tank sitting on top of it because I just got home from work. With the mod I also bought:
UD Youde Wire Box $15
Kanthal A1 26ga Standard Wire - 30ft Spool
Kanthal A1 28ga x 3 Twisted Wire - 15ft Spool
Kantahl A1 26ga + 32ga Clapton Wire - 15ft Spool
Ni200 26ga Standard Wire - 30ft Spool
SS316L 26ga Standard Wire - 30ft Spool
Nichrome 26ga Standard Wire - 30ft Spool
Also got some packs of premade coils. They were $4 for a 10 pack. I grabbed 20 of the 1.20 Ohm coils and 20 of the 1.40 Ohm coils because supplies were low and that's what they had for higher resistances. I want to go with a dual coil build and I don't want to end up with very low resistances because I don't really do any cloud chasing. I've got two velocity style decks to build on (one that came with the mod and one I already had), one is a squonker and one can be converted back and forth. Oh and of course I bought a bag of cotton. Also, I bought some VG from Nicotine River a while back. Shipping costs are a bitch but you can get a liter of the stuff for around $8. And the quality was noticeable to me, better than the generic USPG stuff I was using. [Reply]
