So regarding Matt House, who was expected to be the Chiefs’ new LB coach:
I’m told UK decided not to let him out of his deal...but they only did that AFTER they’d agreed to negotiate the buyout. Tough break for House, who wanted to join the Chiefs, and KC.

If that is true which there's no reason to believe it's not, it makes Kentucky look bad. You keep a guy who doesn't want to be there, at what point is something like that counterproductive? [Reply]

Apparently if they refuse to negotiate a buyout they can basically block it, most teams won't do it though because it a a bad look to have someone there that doesn't want to be there. [Reply]
I say that as someone who looks at college football objectively, as I don’t have a team that I ‘die hard’ for.
It’s just a corrupt system. The big dogs run it all, other programs can have nice seasons but it’s pretty much the same 5-6 teams always in contention to win the title. And really less than that now that Bama and Clemson just slaughter everyone.
I’d say just be glad that their basketball program is one of the juggernauts. [Reply]

Thats what Im thinking. He should just resign. Unless there is some sort of bullshit collegiate rule that doesn’t allow him to, then I could understand.
Personally I wouldn’t want to work for somebody I don’t trust especially if they took away an opportunity from me to better myself. I could only imagine how the guy feels. [Reply]
