#Chiefs’ rookie Breeland Speaks made his presence felt against the Jaguars, totaling seven pressures (2 QB Hits and 5 QB Hurries) on a career-high 56 defensive snaps. He played a combined 60 defensive snaps in weeks 1-4, per @PFF. pic.twitter.com/0sacM3II3B

Yep. Either people are refusing to change their narrative or dont know what they are looking at. Id say Speaks especially flashed in holding the edge against the run. [Reply]
I will reserve judgment until camp concludes. I hope to God he becomes successful though, we need it. K-Pass too. There is not one player on this team that I wish to see fail.

Plenty of players take at least 1-2 years before becoming good players.
Melvin Ingram comes to mind. Dee Ford too. Etc.
That's not to say that I have big hope though for both Speaks and Kpassagnon.
And yes, he had flashes last year. I have just rewatched the missed sack on Brady. He beat cleanly Trent Brown, who has just signed a massive FA contract, only to let Brady go because he was afraid of getting a penalty. [Reply]

Again, it’s dumb.
Yeah, way too early to write the book on him. People are saying he was slow, but that's on the Chiefs low IQ strategy to draft a freaking DT and convert him to OLB.
A 5th grader is smart enough to know that's a bad idea.
Let's see if he can transition to playing a 3-5 technique before we write him off completely. [Reply]
Speaks still strikes me as an odd choice. But at this point, if he can contribute as a role player, I'm good with that. Daly likes versatility so I think he will get something out of him. I'm a little more high on Kpass. If the coaching staff was complaining about him being misused, that tells me the coaches saw something in him [Reply]
