Ifs and buts and what have you, but if Mizzou finishes that game against Florida, they're sitting nicely in third place in the SEC. Of course, we should have beaten WV as well...

In the past hour, I have had 5 NBA teams contact me about Michael Porter. Conversations have centered around a possible return at Kentucky on February 24th being in play. That is nothing official, only discussions. Word travels fast.

Cuonzo is a hell of a coach. Period.
And that without any real ball handling guard play [Reply]
Porter has nothing to gain by coming back. He's still being hyped as a lottery pick, he can't really do anything to improve that unless he averages 30 points and 10 boards. I'd bet he sits the rest of the way. [Reply]

He has things to gain. He might still be a lottery pick, but he's potentially falling outside the top 5 now.
He could pop back up over some of he other freshmen if he returns, plays great, and shows he is healthy.
He also wants to come back and play.
If he doesn't come back, it will be because he isn't cleared in time, not because he doesn't want to.
Martin wouldn't comment on his status NOW after being silent for three months if he wasn't confident he'd get him back.
If Missouri gets a healthy Porter back, woe to the 2/3 seed in Mizzou's bracket of the NCAA tourney.
Had they not won the last three and really positioned themselves for the tourney, I don't think he'd come back. [Reply]

Well I'm sure he's a competitive guy that wants to play. His brother is playing and I'm sure that has some influence. He's one hell of a cheerleader on the sideline. The guy wants on the court. He can't really hurt his draft stock, unless he gets hurt of course. [Reply]
