thats not on Dejong.
its clear the umpire got in his way to throw to first. How is that even possible? By the crew chief? It’s a ground ball hit to the SS, maybe not move from where you were into his throwing lane to first? That’s something I’ve not seen since a little league game. [Reply]

That angle didn't come out for another inning after that happened, hence the reaction. [Reply]

My reaction was the 3-run homer, not the error. [Reply]

And I just can't get too upset about last night.
Yes, they kicked Bumgarner around and had it on their racket - but going into that game with Bumgarner vs. Rags - did you really have that one as a win?
And was there EVER a doubt about todays game? This looked like an easy W as soon as Wainwright locked them down in game 1. They had their hot streak and are in the midst of their fade. This was a 3-1 waiting to happen. [Reply]

Pitching on short rest, the plan wasn’t for him to go much more than 50 pitches. [Reply]

I still have an issue with Shildt pulling him at 38 when he KNEW that Martinez wasn't available. Especially when it was ostensibly to get Webb in there to face lefties when Wacha's changeup was actually working and is pretty much tailor-made to neutralize lefthanded hitters.
But....1,000 ft views lads. 1,000 ft views.... [Reply]
Another replay of the Cardinals' HOF ceremony is on FSMW right now. I can't wait until 2025 when they're totally out of guys to induct and they enshrine Joe Thurston and Ty Wigginton. [Reply]
