Cubs sign Drew Smyly to a 2 year deal with $10M in guaranteed money + a potential for $7M in incentives.
Typical Theo move. He wanted to do something similar last year with Tyson Ross. I figured he would try again with Smyly or Pineda and Smyly just fit with the whole Rays connection. [Reply]

But let’s be honest, we’ll be targeting a middle reliever for him...
If the rumors are true, Ozuna is close to a done deal. We need to deal with the logjam in the outfield and do something about our lack of talent elsewhere. Makes sense to deal from a position that would still have talent for one where there is currently no talent. [Reply]

I can think of a former catcher who needs to get traded or fired. Replace him with the guy in the mustard costume that runs the races at the K. [Reply]

:-) It seems to me anyway, that his remaining as manager is not helping this team, in fact, its hurting the team before we even take the field. I think most see this clearly but the one who counts, Dewitt. [Reply]

I just dont think he has any value due to his injury history and just one good season. If he performs in 2018 like 2017 great but no one is going to give us anything close to that value. [Reply]
Trading Pham would be asinine. He would get more back than our other outfielders, but he won't hit free agency until after his prime years. Ride that horse as long as you can.
Piscotty doesn't fit here. Oakland would be one of the few we might actually get a warm body in return. [Reply]

Also, he looked like the only one playing with passion last year. [Reply]
