I don't understand folks talking about "he wants to get paid"...Er YES AND? The guy is a GENERATIONAL talent so why wouldn't we want to pay someone like him? Those are exactly the type of players you want to ne paying imo. Young and the best In their position. I mean what's the difference between Ramsey and Aaron Donald? I don't see any and If we could get him wouldn't folks pay him what he deserves? [Reply]
The question is whether he will show up and ball out without the extension. Can his agent convince him that the best landing spot is with a championship contender? Kick ass for KC this year, win a championship, and you WILL be the highest paid corner in the league this time next year. [Reply]

I think Jones already knows he's signing somewhere else next year. Tag him and trade him.
I almost think it would be worth it to trade him for Ramsey straight up. The only reason I don't is because Jones is such a likable guy while Ramsey is drama.
But in terms of player ability, you trade Jones for Ramsey everyday and twice on Sunday. [Reply]

Sounds great for us but...
1) the agent wants the money.
2) he can become the highest paid CB right now from someone. [Reply]

1) Of course, but no one has the cap room to give him as big of a contract as he'd get offseason.
2) see #1. Also, if he truly wants to win, then his best course of action is get traded to a legit top team and then hit free agency when teams haven't already spent their cap room. right now, your contract is limited to what? The two or three teams who will trade for you and whatever their room is? Wait until next offseason, and you have 32 suitors. [Reply]

He still has 1 more year on his deal in 2020 and that’s before a tag.
Which is why the ideal scenario is for the Chiefs to trade for him now, then trade him away in the offseason. [Reply]
I hope they get Ramsey honestly. I truly don't give a shit what the cost is. Packers had two of the greatest QBs of all time over a 25 year span and only managed 2 SB wins. I don't want to be the ****ing Packers. Do whatever it takes. [Reply]
Heard @TomPelissero say on NFL Network that two teams that are in on Jalen Ramsey (one team from both the NFC and AFC as @diannaESPN said earlier) are in fact the Kansas City #Chiefs and Philadelphia #Eagles. No surprise, both need CB help.
"People are looking at this (Jalen Ramsey situation) like it's the Minkah Fitzpatrick deal, and it's not... Leverage & the market could change from week-to-week because of injuries. I don't get the sense that anything is imminent." - @JasonLaCanfora on #TheDrive. pic.twitter.com/gXjIuwthqU
