I don't pay attention to IRpts until the day of the game.
FWIW, because the optical created the illusion of a concussion, I really believe he almost got choked out instead BUT the Chiefs have to appeal to that optical in a concussion protocol because of Mahomes inability to get up on his own with severe wobbling.

They already confirmed this, BTW.
It's not optics, it's just the rules. As soon as he got up woozy like that, he's in the protocol. Even if they find out later he didn't have a concussion, he still has to pass the protocol. [Reply]
