In several discussions about music, several posters bring in Red Dirt Music to the conversation.
In this thread, I'd like to do things a little different to help people learn about our favorite artists, and post a couple of youtube videos of their song and your personal favorite playlist of that artist.
Feel free to include your own contributions, but follow the format. Videos of live performances, and list a few of your favorite songs.
I've met a few of these guys and have had beers with some of them, so I'll share stories and nuggets that they've told me. It's fine if you have a different take of the same artists or offer a different playlist.
Here are just a few to make sure you know where some good stuff is located
I had a couple of beers with this guy one night, but he rolls a little too hard for my liking late at night. He's definitely a drop an empty baggie on the foor, roll out of a mini-van full of beer cans at 6am to get back on the bus kind of guy.
This is more bluegrass, but Billy Strings can jam the shit out the cat guts.

Into that "High Lonesome" sound of those Appalachian hillbillies, the Bluegrass artists who are probably the most talented of all.

Refreshing to see this kind of music talked about, anything countryish seems to get pushed around. When in reality it's closer to the real deal than anything we have.
Won't do my .....back in the day...thing, but of all the talented countryish artists these two deserve far more props than they received.
