It's finally Draft Day Eve, as I'd call it. We've pondered back and forth the possibilities that come with picking at #27 for months, and now its almost time to see who is under the Chiefs' tree in 2017.
So, a day ahead, call your shot below. Who you want them to pick, who you believe they will pick, or both. [Reply]
Me too. What's the worst that could happen, we keep him on the sidelines for this year and next if he can't cut it, we can Garoppolo him to the highest bidder in a year or two just based on the mystique. [Reply]
FOR THE RECORD!!!Watson is not a good pick for Andy Rieds system. The reason I say this is his velocity on his throws. The fastest he spun a football was at 47 MPH. See below for examples...
Andy Ried's system is a timing system, meaning the ball needs to come out quick and get there quick. I don't think Watson has the Arm Talent to drive it into tight windows. I hope we get Mahomes, alas I think Texans are going to trade up to 14-20 range to draft him because Bill O'Brien is sooposedly "In love with him"
I think the Chiefs will draft will play out like this "God I hope so version"
R1
Patrick Mahomes R2
Reuben Foster R3
Jermaine Eluemunor R4
Joe Mixon
I think we will trade up in round 2 to go get our QB (likely D Webb). In round 1 I think we'll target C Wormley or TJ Watt. I'd probably go with Watt, but I think they'll select Wormley. [Reply]
He is dating my wife's cousin so we will be at the draft party. I've known Patrick for the last 5 or so years. See him at every family holiday. Can't wait to be there. Being a huge Chiefs fan, I badly want him to go to KC, but it's really neat to just be there when he gets the call.
He has an incredible arm and a great head on his shoulders. He will be a steal. [Reply]
